Andrew McFarlane, BSc (Hons), IEng, MICE, CMgr, MCMI

As a Senior Engineer for Sustrans Scotland, Andrew McFarlane project manages National Cycle Network Improvement works across Scotland.

Prior to joining Sustrans, Andrew worked within the Transportation team for a number of years at SWECO working across major highway schemes and for the Local Authorities team which largely consisted of active travel and local infrastructure development projects.

He is an Incorporated Engineer through the Institution of Civil Engineers with over 12 year’s experience in Highway and Active Travel Engineering. He is also a Chartered Manager through the Chartered Management Institute.

Andrew has a firm belief that the outdoors should be both enjoyed and respected by everyone.

Graham Wilkinson, BSc (Hons) IEng, MICE

Sustrans Scotland Engineer, Graham Wilkinson is responsible for delivering feasibility studies, detailed design, site supervision and principal designer duties for up-grades to the existing National Cycle Network in Scotland.

He is an Incorporated Engineer and member of the Institution of Institution of Civil Engineers and Chartered Institution of Highway and Transportation. He has more than 23 years’ experience in highway design, road safety, site supervision and cycling by design for active travel projects.

He is also a member with the Association for project Safety (APS) with eight years of CDM/health and safety experience with his role as principal designer advisor.
